Royal Mail shares

Posted on 8th Oct 2013 at 10:40 PM from Warwick

There is no doubt that the privatisation of Royal Mail is one of the biggest stock market events to grab the attention of the public for a long time. For me it marks a realisation of how consistency pays off.

It is just over a year ago that I first heard Jim Rohn and his plan for what to do with a dollar. I was immediately inspired and set about creating my own plan based upon what I had heard.

As part of that plan I have been putting away 10% of all my income ever since. That might not sound like very much. Often that has not been very much and it hasn't really been missed at the time. But over time it has added up and given me something to invest modestly with.

That acumulation and investment has given me a choice to invest in Royal Mail shares. A choice which on this occasion I have taken.

Saving what has sometimes been very small amounts of money has at times seemed like it makes no difference. But by consistent discipline I have the choice to invest and the choice to shape my financial future. Simple disciplines carried out over time can lead to big changes for anyone.
