EU Referendum

Posted on 14th May 2016 at 9:28 PM from Warwick, UK

I'm sure it won't have escaped your notice the amount of scaremongery regarding the forthcoming referendum from both sides of the debate. What we want are facts but unfortunately there are no facts.

There are plenty of opinions, some of them based on some well thought out assertions. However, the reality is that nobody can know with any certainty the true shape of Britain in the event of either result.

For many years I have believed that Britain is better out of the European Union. It has been a strong gut feeling and one that I have not tried to explain to myself or articulate to others. Until now that is. With the referendum only a matter of weeks away, I've been wanting to ensure that my gut feeling is backed by some sound assertions.

I am very pleased to find that I can indeed back up my gut instinct by logic based on sound assertions. Over the next few days and weeks I will try and articulate these reasons to you. It would be great to get your opinions and questions in the comments below.
