Listening to Emeli Sandé :: My Kind Of Love

Today is the first day of July......that means that we are half way through the year already! Shocking isn't it? I wonder how many New Year Resolutions are still remembered, let alone kept.

Every year people make resolutions and most are forgotten by the end of January. But what can we do to turn our resolutions into reality???

Firstly we must realise that there are two very different types of resolutions - there are dreams or wishes and there are goals. The difference is simply that goals are something we are prepared to invest in, to make sacrifices for, and work hard to achieve. Dreams on the other hand are things we'd like but that we don't believe are likely to come about and that we aren't prepared to give what it would take to get them. It's fine to dream and have dreams - but it's not wise to confuse them with goals.

So what of our goals? How can we turn them into reality?

It may come as a surprise but the answer is actually quite simple.....just do these three steps.....

1 - Write them down
2 - Read them regularly
3 - Believe they will become reality

Only 3% of people have their goals written down and this simple step will take us a long way towards goal achievement. Reading them regularly, preferably daily and out loud, will reinforce them in the mind. Finally it is important to believe they happen before they can become reality.

Of course we have to work on our goals if they are to become reality but just by following these simple steps we find that this happen automatically and unconsciously. If we make the effort to do something every day, no matter how small, to move closer to goal achievement then our goals will be ours sooner than we ever imagined.

So forget the disappointment of New Year Resolutions and take some time to make some solid goals: write them down, read them out and believe......

The Magic of 3 Weeks.

Most people have a few bad habits that don't always serve them or help them achieve and everyone knows how difficult it is to change.

Ian has outlined a simple and effective way to replace bad habits with good success habits which will help those that follow it achieve their goals.
